NOTES:
(1) Webmaster can configure FrontLook Site Search engine to optionally
exclude Shared
Borders, Selected
DWT editable regions, DWT
non editable regions, Page
Includes, Any
HTML enclosed by special tags, Navigation
and Link Bars and "Keywords" meta tag. For example, if the webmaster has
setup the search engine to exclude text in the shared borders of the web
and the search engine is searching a shared border page, the text in the
shared border will be excluded. Without this feature, if the user searches for a term that happens to be in
the shared border, every shared border page in the web would be returned
as a result.
(2) FrontLook Site Search Engine allows the developer to control the font
and table styles of the results page via external or embedded style sheets.
(3) Quick search forms are mini-forms that allow the visitor to enter a
search term and then proceed to the search page to see the results of the
search.
(4) To control the pages in the search, pages must be removed from the
Index Server list by the hoster.
(5) Search areas are sets of pages with a common theme, for example all
the pages dealing with support issues might be placed in the "Support"
search area.
